From a simple oil change to a complete engine rebuild, Solent Motor Services can do it all.
Tyres
We provide a full Tyre Service from puncture repair to fully fitted and balanced tyres. Tyres range from budget to top brands. These can either be supplied by us at very competitive rates or you are welcome to supply your own.
Wheel Alignment
We use a four wheel laser alignment system to make sure wheels are tracked perfectly to the manufacturer’s specifications. The rigours and bumps of everyday road use can gradually cause wheels to go out of alignment producing uneven tyre wear, car handling and safety problems, so when having new tyres fitted it is recommended to have your tracking checked to ensure their best performance and longevity.
Brakes
Brakes are one of the most important items on your vehicle so don’t leave things to chance. We offer a free visual brake check ensuring their safety and reliability, and provide a full brake service from an annoying squeak to full replacement of parts, including discs, pads, brake shoes, cylinders, hoses and pipes. We are able to supply all parts and fit at very competitive rates.
Timing Belts
The Timing Belt on your vehicle is vitally important. If this belt or one of its guide pulleys fail it will have disastrous results resulting in major engine damage. We are able to change these belts and pulleys in line with vehicle manufactures specs at competitive prices, changing a belt could be as little as 10% of the cost of a major engine rebuild.
Clutches
The clutch is an important item in the components that make up the drive of your vehicle. If this fails you may have no drive, or it may drive but it is very hard to change gear. There has been some new technology in clutches recently this being Dual Mass fly wheels, we are able to supply and fit both conventional clutch kits and the new Dual Mass flywheel type.
